This is a complete fluff post about my new hardware. I just got a new Ryzen 7 system with 32 GB of RAM and a Nvidia 1070 card. I will have some posts about nvidia-docker and AI in the very near future. I also got a new battery backup, because all of my old UPS systems were trashed, which helped lead to me getting a new system. So guys, if you need a new system and need approval from a significant other, stop replacing your batteries in the battery backup units. It only took my system a few years to die when I did that. RIP 6 year old Ebay used parts special. Welcome back modern computing.
On an interesting note, I only had to move the hard drive from old hardware to new hardware, then modify some network and display settings (I got new monitors too). Very simple and easy transition to new hardware.
